Giovanni Sogari is an Assistant Professor in Consumer Behavior Researcher in the Department of Food and Drug of the University of Parma, Italy. He is interested in incorporating insights from psychology, sensory analysis, and behavioral economics to better understand consumer decision-making choices. His main research activities have been focused on meat alternatives, sustainable food and wine products, animal welfare, healthy eating habits, Geographical Indications, and novel foods. Dr. Sogari is also an active member in various scientific societies including the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), the Italian Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AIEAA), and the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE). Dr. Sogari has been a visiting scholar at Cornell University from 2017-2019.
